character, Lila, who, through a series of sequential scenarios, pulls you along with her from
victim to conqueror.
Most female readers will relate in significant ways to her unconscious yielding to the
intermittent but intense criticism and emotional bashing she experiences over the years from her
narcissistic husband. He keeps her and the children off-balance with extreme mood swings that
change unpredictably in just moments.
Eventually, through a very painful separation and divorce, in which Lila is falsely accused
of child abuse, suffers the loss of both business and personal assets and multiple betrayals by her
husband, she leans into her faith and finds strength from God to protect herself and her children
from further damage. It is a story fraught with challenges but her strong faith, perseverance and
